All Things Coffee

Oh coffee... how do I love thee? Let me count the 1,001 ways! Today is #nationalcoffeeday so I figured what better way to celebrate than a quick blog post with all things coffee. YUM!

First off of course is the fabulous smelling Re-java-nate Luxe Body Scrub. Not only does it smell delicious, it tastes fantastic too. Don't ask me how I know... just trust me on this one! ;) Although I will say, this scrub is for EXTERNAL use only. BUT if a little bit accidentally gets in your mouth, there is no harm. :) I use this wonderful scrub on mornings I need a little extra pick-me-up. It leaves my skin so soft, smooth, and moisturized. And they say caffeine is beneficial for the skin as it can leave you with a healthier looking appearance. Which is exactly why I am working on a coffee face mask powder.....

How else do I enjoy this glorious thing that is known as coffee? As a good ol' fashion cup of joe of course! Now I was not always a fan of this drink that so many people just can't live without. However over time as an exhausted mommy, I came to love this cup of gold. While I actually can go without coffee now *GASP*, it has become a bit of a nostalgic thing for me. Especially if I can sit out on my deck before the rest of the house is awake. How do I take my morning cup of pure bliss you ask? Since I can't have dairy anymore, I use a bit of raw honey (don't knock it til you try it ;) ), some stevia, a double shot of espresso, and of course some boiling water. MMMMMMM... already dreaming of my cup of coffee for tomorrow.

One new thing I am wanting to try is to cook with coffee. I've had things that have marinated in coffee or have been infused with coffee. But me trying to do these things with it.... now that is a different story. I was given a rub to try out that is supposed to be AH-MAZING. It combines brown sugar, ground coffee, salt, and pepper. You combine all of these ingredients and rub on your meat of choice and let marinade. I'm both slightly excited and nervous to try this out. Have you cooked, baked, or grilled with coffee? If so, share a recipe below that is to-die-for.
